Happy memories for me personally as it was the year I met my Mrs - I remember dancing to Mantronix on that first date.

It was also a terrible year for semi-finals...

Re: 1990
Surprised that no one’s mentioned Pills n Thrills and Bellyaches. Definitely a one-off of an album.

I was talking to a friend about how big names like Jesus Jones and PWEI seem to be ignored by kids these days, while bands that were unfashionable back then like Slowdive are revered by the kids.

Jesus Jones’ Doubt and PWEI’s Cure for Sanity we’re huge at the time but seem to be a bit forgotten now.

The outside events got more difficult to arrange world party in Lincolnshire the northerners didn't know what had hit them. Clubs became more popular, Legends in Old Burlington Street, The Park Kensington, Rage, Land of Oz etc

Italia 90 we would have beaten Argentina had we got past the penalty shoot-out against a united Germany side. I met the mother of my first child in the Hope in Barking she came from Peckham
